Chromite sand for foundry-heavy sand
Chromite Sand is a naturally occurring spinel containing mainly oxides of chrome and iron. Chromite sand has certain properties that allow the material to be used as core and mold sand in gray iron and steel factories. Its high thermal conductivity gives it good cooling properties; Low temperature expansion increases good dimensional stability. Because its base is close to neutral, it can be widely used in resin bonding systems and inorganic binders, and it has high refractoriness and wide sieve distribution. In steel production, Chromite sand is also used to protect sliding doors on large steel staircases. When it is ground into a fine flour, Chromite sand is used to manufacture green glass juice containers.
