Chromite foundry sand AFS45-50 from South Africa
Description:
Chromite foundry sand is a natural mineral that contains mostly oxides of chromium and iron. It is a byproduct of ferrochrome and is primarily used in foundry and glassmaking applications. Chromite sand is used as a foundation to repel mold and mildew. It’s from South Africa. Sand is produced by crushing the chromium minerals, washing, drying, dust removal, screening and grain size separation in rotating areas.
