Casting chromite sand AFS40-50
Chromite casting sand, also known as chrome ore sand, is a special sand for casting with natural chromite ore from South Africa as the main raw material, which is processed into a specified particle size through crushing, screening and other processes. Its main component content Cr2O2 is more than 46%, with high thermal conductivity, resistance to alkaline slag and solid phase sintering characteristics, which can prevent sand from sticking to castings. It is widely used in large steel castings, coating aggregates and chilling material replacement.

Production process:
Step 1: Wash the raw chrome ore (crushed into powder in South Africa) to remove mud and impurities by sieving the particle size with a drum screen;
Step 2: Dry the raw material to remove moisture;
Step 3: The dried raw material enters the vibrating screen to sieve out the particle size required by the customer;
Step 4: Magnetic separation is performed on the sieved particle size to remove iron and silicon; the chromium content after magnetic separation reaches more than 46%, and the silicon content is less than 1%;
Step 5: Pack the finished product.
